14:30 - 15:00 ON-AIR TALKSHOW The bubbly North Sea
One of the talkshows will also discuss the North Sea. In the last 2 years, we see a lot of developments with important consequences for both the offshore and maritime sector. On the one hand, reduction of offshore oil- and gas extraction, and on the other hand, construction of windparks at sea. These changes influence the way the North Sea is organized, the way we work at sea and the material and personnel we need at sea.
15:15 - 15:45 ON-AIR TALKSHOW Wind at sea, jumping board for progress
Wind at sea is doing well, especially at the North Sea. At this moment, windparks in the Dutch part of the North Sea are producing 950MW electricity, enough for about 1 million households for an entire year. Over the next 5 years, we need an additional 3.500 MW. In 2023 a total of 4,5 million households need to use electricity from wind at sea. What does it take to install a windpark at sea? Where will these windparks be located and why else is wind at sea so good, besides clean electicity? Jan Versteegh discusses the windsector with students, teachers, starts and seniors, about developments in wind, how those contribute to a cleaner energy supply and sustainable progress, including your own progress.
